In 1994, the founder of Curbstone Corporation, Ira Chandler,
designed and wrote the first industrial-strength,
scalable IBM Midrange (AS/400) credit card payment processing software.
Benefitting from a decade of experience, Curbstone
Card is the evolution of that original effort. Our
new Java credit card software for the Java language platform and all operating systems benefits
from that experience.
Our support services complement
the new Curbstone Card™ licensed software,
the most capable, robust,
and AFFORDABLE
credit card payment processing software.
Expect full, UNLIMITED technical
support, 24 hours every day of every year.

SECURITY and C.I.S.P.
Curbstone Card was architected with
consideration for security directives like those detailed in the Visa
"Cardholder Information Security Program" (CISP). Approved in October
1999 and mandated May 1, 2001, the program was created specifically
for merchants who process and/or store cardholder data:

as a result of Internet acceptance of Visa account information, or

in a database accessible from the Internet
For details on the program, see Visa's site for
CISP and
for the twelve basic guidelines, see the
"Digital Dozen"
Rules of secure transaction handling.
Licensed software like Curbstone Card can only
satisfy the portion of ANY security requirements specific to the software
processing and retention of transactions.
To be truly secure, by any definiton, a merchant must adhere to many other
requirements for physical, logical, procedural, communications, and password
security. Using Curbstone Card does not, in itself, make a merchant CISP compliant.
